Eclipse, the third film of the The Twilight Saga was released in July 2010. Eclipse continues the storyline of Bella, Edward and Jacob in a new found light. Vampires and Wolves embark on a battle like no other in Eclipse.
The storyline of Eclipse
Eclipse has a great plot going on and a new storyline. Some newborn vampires have been made into an army that will fight the Cullens. The new character to the film is known as Riley. He becomes the leader of the newborn vampires and begins to hunt the Cullens and Bella, so him and his army can end them completely. Riley's appearance has given Eclipse a captivating storyline and has brought the Cullens and Jacob closer together by them having to work against the newborn vampires. The film, also, reveals Bella wanting to be turned into a vampire after her graduation and Edward finds himself proposing to her. The romance in the film becomes a love triangle for Bella with Edward and Jacob giving the film more drama. All this makes Eclipse even more exciting to watch. Its adventurous fantasy brings more to its continuing story and the nation wait for the next part to enter cinemas next year.
Eclipse's Production, Cast and Acting
Kristen Stewart plays Bella and Robert Pattinson is Edward. The pair are great together in The Twilight Saga. Taylor Lautner plays Jacob Black, as the wolf in Bella's life. The new arrival to Eclipse is Riley who is played by Xavier Samuel, an Australian actor from Victoria. Eclipse has made Xavier Samuel into a star. His acting ability has been shown immensely throughout the film making it a hit for his own career. Melissa Rosenberg wrote the screenplay and the author of all Twilight Saga books was written by Stephanie Meyer who created the successful story of The Twilight Saga.
The Special Effects
The special effects with vampires and wolves in the film was very visual and real. It gave the film color making it more effective to the storyline. The red eyes of vampires made each vampire real making it known who was a vampire and who was not. Blood, fangs and wolf dogs were fascinating to see with lots of color and creation.
The Location of the Film
The book is set mostly in the town of Forks and La Push on the olympic Peninsula and in Seattle, but Eclipse was filmed in various places of Vancouver to some parkland areas and downtown places. The areas of filming of Eclipse in Vancouver has been kept secreative during filming, but it has been known for fans to seek out these places to get a glimpse of their famous characters.
Was Eclipse a Success?
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has been a success all over the United States and in the United Kingdom. Cinemas were flocking with fans wanting to see the film on its first showing. Teenagers and adults have taken an immense liking to the books and now the films, and because of this it has turned out to be a success.
